Welcome back! I hope you had a restful and fun winter break.
Now let's get back to business..
This month we will be exploring Mythology (please, take a moment to read the definitions posted on 1/1/11).
We will be covering Greek,Roman, Mayan, Aztec, Chinese, and Celtic Mythology.
Please, follow your schedule (I reposted it on the blog. if are still unsure, PLEASE ask me.
What are we doing this week?
1. Grammar review: parts of speech (especial attention to verb tenses), capitalization, and punctuation.
2. Group Social Studies Biography Assignment: On January we celebrate African American Heritage & History Month. We will be working on a biography project. I will give you a handout to guide you through the process (also posted on the blog). Please do not lose it. Also, you will use a code on that quiz to enter your answers.
3. Vocabulary: we will continue working with affixes. Please, ask Angelica and Karen if you need help with the words of the week.

4. Guided reading and Independent Reading: no changes. Since we have library time on Monday, please make sure you have your books ready along with your ID. No badge No books No exceptions. If for some reason you have any issues, please, talk to the librarians for assistance.
5.Read aloud: we will be discussing mythology. If you'd like to volunteer to read aloud, please let me know early on the day so that I can assign it as a job. Thank you very much for your participation!

I posted "READING ABOUT SCIENCE I AND II" on the blog. However, if you prefer, you are welcome to do some more reading :)
7. Please, make sure you enter the answers from the winter package. The codes are posted.EXCEPT for the reading " The Renaissance in France". I'll correct that manually.
